Roles & Responsibilities
As a Sales Development Intern, you will be the first point of contact for SQLOPS. You play a key role in building the SQLOPS brand, creating a great first impression, and building momentum for not only the sales team but the company overall. Your goal is to provide an amazing first impression and provide up-to-date knowledge and provide a case for how valuable our service will be for potential customers. Within the team, you will engage in team development and mentorship.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be the first point of contact for our leads to help increase interest through discovery and education, providing a great experience for SQLOPS’s prospective customers. You will be generating new business pipelines for Account Executives through cold calling, email, social outreach, and other channels. Along with this, you will be analyzing lead activity, researching targeted accounts and contacts for potential fit, developing messaging frameworks, refining outbound processes, updating the CRM system with discussion details, and assisting with training new team members.

Every SQLOPS team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for within this role:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Not Required)
- Passion for Sales
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with common Data and analytics services, sales systems and tools e.g. HubSpot, Intercom, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo (Not required, but these skills would be a bonus)
Additionally, we are looking for:
Someone who is extremely organized, highly motivated, curious, self-driven, and has a strong desire to be in Sales and build a career at SQLOPS. You need to be a team player, collaborative and able to act on constructive feedback. We will look at your prospecting skills (cold-calling, email, social, etc.) and will want to see a proven record of success and kitting KPIs.
